Richard Armitage

A small salute to Richard Armitage who plays the pivotal role of Thorin Oakenshield the Good Guy/Bad Guy of the film " THE HOBBIT". From the video clip he appears to be playing the role brilliantly, he comes off as rather arrrogant and conceited ( well he is King under the mountain ). but he has a great head of hair. He is one of what I refer to as "The Hunky Dwarfs " a far cry from Gimli who was rather a tad more Bushy and stout, more of what I conjure up in my mind as a Dwarfs appearance. Guess Sir Peter is trying to appeal to the female audience with all these new hunky Dwarfs.
Richard Crispin Armitage is an English actor famous for his roles as John Thornton in North and South, Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood, and Lucas North in Spooks. He is currently cast as Thorin Oakenshield in the two-film adaptation of The Hobbit
Born: August 22, 1971 (age 40), Leicester
Height: 6' 2"  As most British actors ( and they all seem to be in this movie ) he has a background in theater and of course Shakespeare. It appears that if you are British and are an actor somewhere along the line you did Shakespeare. Armitage appeared as Nazi spy Heinz Kruger in the Captain America: The First Avenger film, released in July 2011. Where he goes with the fame that is sure to follow after " THE HOBBIT " is anybodys guess but I'm sure what ever it is will be brilliant.
