Welcome to my small but sincere blog where I comment on Professor Tolkien s Middle Earth and all associated with it. The opinions i state are mine only and are reasonably thought out.I began my personal relationship with Middle Earth and its characters in the early 70s and have revisited them many times over the years. I went to the theater in the 70s to watch Ralph Bashkis' interpretation of The Lord Of The Rings which proved to be a disappointment, it was evident that it was a hard , long, and nearly impossible task to present this tale and I dis-paired of ever seeing it bought to film and given the time and effort to it that it truly deserved and then one magical day I discovered it would be brought to us in three separate films and was to be directed by a virtually unknown Director, Peter Jackson. He did a magnificent job and I was glad and appreciative of the journey he took us on. Now we are to be given a second opportunity to return to Middle Earth with the oncoming "The Hobbit". We Tolkien fans are truly blessed and I have plenty of faith that Sir Peter will not fail to give us another marvelous journey. It is a long time till December so while I wait I have decided to make my very tiny contribution to keep the home fires burning for other fans of Professor Tolkien with my little Blog, I hope you enjoy it as much as I am having creating it.
